(personally i think its too much of a bother)
1) Host your image, no wait, create your image or swipe one online, etc ;)
2) Now Host image, upload image your cloud server or use a image hosting site etc
3) Write the HTML code that will load your hosted image into the desired post SAMPLE CODE
Left Arrow thingy img src=http://(hosting site name & image name Right Arrow thingy (if I used them arrows the text would all disappear, right?)
4)Save your line of code (notepad, desktop post-it note, etc)
5) Copy/Paste code into every post that you want to use the image
(not too big a PITA I guess, lol)
If i missed something feel free to correct my tutuorial!

ThankQ for posting helpful information about the process for posting images.
I think your post helps clarify a key point of confusion. Images stored on users' computers can't be shared until they are uploaded to a website willing to host (store) images to which others link.
Once the image is in a hosting site, you can link to it (it's handy when it's already posted on another stable site like FR - just right click on the image to get the URL)
A URL is the complete address of the location of the image, so it includes the whole shebang, for example, http:/www.somewebsitename.com/yourimagehere.png
Here's an example - it's the image that Stars & Stripes Forever posted (#47) for the America Prayer Vigil on this thread.
<img src="http://images.firstcovers.com/covers/f/freedom-3110.jpg" width="600"" />
If I like an image on sites like Twitter and I'm afraid it will be censored (deleted), I upload the Twitter image into a more stable hosting site like Imgur.com or other.
Youre Welcome!
Next time i spend 10 minutes on a post ill be checking that the party hasnt moved on to another thread! lol
