Likely, I remember Q talking SC and NatSec having a relationship. Now we know why it was important. Very complicated case considering its magnitude, off record brief seems reasonable.
I hope, if true, that SCOTUS finds this persuasive. However, I would think the first question by the justices might be: Why isn't DoJ dealing with this instead of us? (wipe egg off of face) ... and POTUS cannot enforce his foreign election interference EO except by DoJ - or military if martial law declared I suppose.
I think that any such meeting might be a violation of ethics. Judges are not supposed to have ex-parte conversations with parties to litigation.
In matters of National Security, the Congress has executive sessions, but I’ve never heard of such a thing for the Supreme Court. We’ll see what happens.
