So I guess I’ll never get to try one of those right after I never get to try one of their chicken sandwiches.

If I go to Popeye’s it’s for the popcorn shrimp and red beans & rice. But no more than a couple of times a year - that stuff is addictive.

They actually look pretty good.

I was cruising along my local interstate today and I saw not one but two billboards from McDonald’s advertising all its sweet breakfast pastries...are we having a national sugar craving? Hits the pleasure centers and makes you feel better, if at least only for awhile.

Great, something else for the masses to riot over when Popeye’s runs out...

We’ll know the success by the number of people covered in powdered sugar.

But are they “worth killing for” like the sandwiches?

How is that pronounced? The late Charles Kurault did a trip around the Country once, and in the segment from N’awlins he raved about something like that with morning coffee, but as I recall, what he called them did not really SOUND like it’s spelled.
Thanks.

I'd have to drive out of town to try beignets at Popeye's. Which is highly likely.

In Hawaii we used to get Portugese doughnuts called Malasadas. I haven't had any since I was rugrat. I've had similar. Wish I could just go to Honolulu and get some doughnuts.
