I prefer them plain.

If I go to Popeye’s it’s for the popcorn shrimp and red beans & rice. But no more than a couple of times a year - that stuff is addictive.
They actually look pretty good.
I was cruising along my local interstate today and I saw not one but two billboards from McDonald’s advertising all its sweet breakfast pastries...are we having a national sugar craving? Hits the pleasure centers and makes you feel better, if at least only for awhile.

How is that pronounced? The late Charles Kurault did a trip around the Country once, and in the segment from N’awlins he raved about something like that with morning coffee, but as I recall, what he called them did not really SOUND like it’s spelled.

In Hawaii we used to get Portugese doughnuts called Malasadas. I haven't had any since I was rugrat. I've had similar. Wish I could just go to Honolulu and get some doughnuts.
