Atlantic City is giving people the chance to bid on imploding President Trump's former casino in February. The Trump Plaza casino has been empty and deteriorating for the last six years.
Mr. Trump opened the casino in 1984, but it was closed in 2014 and fell into a state of disrepair. Bodnar's Auction, the auction house collecting bids for the planned implosion, labeled the experience to push the button and demolish the building as a "once in a lifetime opportunity."
All of proceeds from the auction will go to the Boys & Girls Club of Atlantic City. The city's mayor hopes it can raise more than $1 million with the stunt, CBS Philadelphia reported.

It would need a ton of work, the place was empty for 6 years and wasn’t taken care of when it was occupied, knocking it down and building something else is a way better solution.
Trump just makes money for people.

No problem, these places on the coast deteriorate quickly, they are petri dishes of mold and whatever when the AC systems are off for so many years. AC systems not only keep the place cool, they also help remove the humidity as well.
I was born on an island off the coast of Virginia and had lots of family in Maryland. I was taken many summers to Ocean City which was beautiful and fun. The last time I visited was ten years ago. My cousin warned me to be prepared to be shocked. He said it should all be demolished and started all over again. He was right, I was appalled at how rotten the whole strand had become.
That same summer in 2010, I was on the phone with a cousin in New Jersey and told him the shock I experienced at seeing what Ocean City had become. Ocean City and Atlantic City are very similar. My cousin told me Atlantic City was worse.
Everything I read about Donald Trump’s history, always tries to make things better and most times he succeeds, From what I have read he made big improvements in Atlantic City and improved the lives of many people there.
Why is it that Democrat controlled cities and towns become so crime ridden and decadent?
And then those that rule and maintain such ruins exhibit a cult-like hatred of one of the celebrities that tried to make life better in their region.
