And anyone talking “make all cars electric, no more internal combustion engines”, who is not also talking a huge crash program to develop and deploy next generation nuclear electrical generation plants, is talking pie in the sky.
Kalifornia already has brownouts...and blackouts...despite having many various types of power plants...and 2% of the cars on their roads are electric.What happens when the Rats keep their promise to shut down all coal fired,gas fired,oil fired plants,and nuke plants...and 30% of the cars on the road are electric?
As an engineer, I have known for many decades it is with expensive and dirty, I mean really dirty, coal is cleaner by far. While the technology is no doubt getting better, it is not even close to being there.
Modern windmill lifecycle cost payback period = 21 years,
Disposal - nearly impossible

Not sure if your comment is pro nuclear or not, but a serious “green”wnwrgy program without nuclear is unrealistic. We currently have about 20% of electricity generated by nuclear but it is only 9% of installed capacity. It’s uptime is well over 90%.
Unfortunately the fuel comes from offshore mostly from Russia and Uzbechistan, although Canada and Australia anre large suppliers too. We don;t produce what we should strategically if we were to ramp up.
A true switch to all green energy is impossible and it would starve the country quickly into rebellion.

It never has been about saving the earth or the environment or reducing CO2.
It is all about outlawing fossil fuels to eliminate capitalism and replacing it with government control via the socialist revolution of the Marxist Left.

ruined the business models of companies
that have second generation solar cell
innovations to offer—bankrupt.
Postponing higher/durable efficiencies and built in
fire resistant technologies etc. for years is
the result—no grounding needed.
Success still required manufacturing overseas
in Malaysia for one company I am familiar with.

Our biggest mistake, BY FAR, is thinking that the Leftist leaders don’t know that solar/wind is untenable. They certainly do. They have as many scientists and probably half as many engineers as we do. THEY UNDERSTAND IT, all of it.
They draw us into arguing on their terms, while they march forward with their destruction.
What we SHOULD DO is not even debate them on this crap and instead just keep asking why they want to drive us back in time 100 years, where just getting food on the table was a major accomplishment. They need to answer for that.
