Every single nature-oriented publication and organization has gone WOKE over the issue of getting blacks into nature, as if there’s an actual wall that has been depriving them.

I always get off the trail for horses and trail bikes. They always say thank you.
That's the case on any shared trail I've been on. The group leader should have clearly instructed her hikers on this, most places you leave the trail and remain motionless.

70 people, regardless of color, is a huge group and the impact to the trail and park should have been considered. Breaking the group up into smaller, less impactful groups with experienced leaders should have been planned in advance.
I guess those of us who aren't black were born with $200 hiking boots on our feet, and all our packs, tents, sleeping bags, water filters, camp stoves, first aid kits, navigation and communication equipment was just free.
Horses have right of way in Colorado even on the roads
Yield to the horses. Get off thr trail until they pass on by. Common sense and common courtesy. I get off the trails for bicyclists. too. Even though I have the right of way on Colorado trails, it is just as easy to let them by so they do not have to dismount.
