Twitter and Facebook both announced Wednesday evening that they are temporarily suspending President Trump’s accounts after his posts about the mob that overran the Capitol violated platform guidelines.
Twitter is suspending the president's account for 12 hours. Though the platform has added previously added labels to Trump's tweets, this marks the first time the social media giant has taken the step of locking the president out of his account.
If Trump does not delete two tweets to which the company objected, the account will remain locked.

Trump should refuse to even use twitter. That would hurt them more than it hurts him.
I don’t understand why he didn’t abandon those platforms after the first or second suspension. Parler and MeWe would probably be happy to have him - and why give Twitter and FB the added clicks, given that they’re enemy?

One of the infuriating things for me in the Age of Trump is that his critics always fail to recognize (or mention) that Donald J. Trump loves his country with a deep passion.
Even without the riot, I was hoping that the President would drop his challenges after today. The die has now been cast.
Originally, I expected him to try to go "Grover Cleveland." But now I suspect he will be looking for a strategy to groom new leadership for Team MAGA.
