Interesting article. Thanks. Strange they don’t mention the Carrington Event.

Curious why he excluded the 1859 Carrington Event? That set telegraph wires and stations on fire, researchers say it penetrated 3 miles into the earth. My measly fire bunker is only six feet down.

Ben; Here you be! Coming attractions! Nothing really big expected but good to know.

SOLAR SECTOR BOUNDARY CROSSING: Earth is about to cross a fold in the heliospheric current sheet—a vast wavy structure in interplanetary space separating regions of opposite magnetic polarity. The crossing, called a “solar sector boundary crossing,” is expected on Jan. 10th and could cause geomagnetic activity around Earth’s poles. Aurora alerts: SMS Text.
A mega Carrington event could be a “lets return to grandpa’s time” teaching moment!
Lets hope that when it happens it’s centered on Pakistan and China.

The more important question to ask is “how will this affect our research grant”?
Priorities & all that rot...

The earliest topic I found just now (as I continued to surf some of the keywords) was from 2003 or so, pretty cool. And I’ve added more kw, [rest of sentence just of of ‘Civ’s redacted b****ing].

The Medieval Warming period drove up food production and population in Scandinavia, but the limits on arable land led to a huge outward expansion. My DNA showed over a quarter Scandinavian, with zero paper trail to support it, but that’s what happens with those of us with British Isles roots and German roots. :^)

They ruled Sicily for a while, worked for the Byzantine emperors, and of course ruled Normandy, from which William the Bastard launched his invasion of England and usurped the throne.
