Head football coach Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide are coming off yet another national title. They have also done the near impossible and upgraded at offensive coordinator with Bill O’Brien.

For the past couple of weeks, reports suggested that Alabama would hire the former Houston Texans head coach and general manager to replace Steve Sarkisian as offensive coordinator. That’s now come to fruition. Saban announced on Thursday, via the program’s official website:

Bill O’Brien accomplished one of college football’s greatest coaching feats when he led a scholarship punished Penn State to an 8-4 record in 2012. The question now is he woke enough for 2021.

I’m sure Saban will keep the kill switch handy in case O’Brien wants to run a fake punt on his own side of the field while leading 24-0 again.

Well sure, Yet did the fake punt generate a 1st down. I mean, if you run a fake punt from your own side of the 50 yard line, then the probability of success would be low. Did it produce a 1st down? Inquiring minds want to know?!

As I recall (and from the jist of the statement above) it did not. If it had than they would be hailing him as a hero nd he would probably still be the coach of the Houston Texans.

I assume he is taking a pay cut going from Profession Head Coach to College Assistant Coach, but with Alabama money is not an object.

I saw DeVonta Smith at the Heisman Awards in they highlighted his snappy dressing. I thought to myself his parents must be super wealthy to afford all of those clothes.

From a Bleacher Report article on the ceremony:
His hometown of Amite City had a population of just 4,465 in 2018. He acknowledged his humble beginnings after the award presentation.

“It’s just unbelievable,” he said. “Just coming from a small place like that, you just really have to work it day in and day out and just believe in yourself. And if don’t nobody else believe in you, then you just have to believe in yourself and prove everybody wrong.”
