Dallas Mavericks No Longer Playing National Anthem Before Home Games

Mark Cuban decided before the start of the NBA season that the national anthem would not be played before Dallas Mavericks games, according to The Athletic.

So far, it has not been played before the franchise's 13 preseason and regular season home games.

This is believed to be the first instance of a professional team getting rid of the U.S. national anthem from the pre-game, according to The Athletic. Major League Soccer did not play the anthem during a tournament in 2020 in Orlando that did not have fans present, but teams have since started playing it prior to their home games.

I wouldn’t attend a professional sports event unless I was paid to do so, but even if I did I doubt I would bother standing for the national anthem. I would remain seated, drinking my beer or whatever; my way pf protesting the rigged election and illegitimate government we now have in the US.

The younger people have no concept of the service by those who are now elderly or who have passed. I thank every day what men such as my father helped achieve. Having our young men drafted in foreign wars, especially, while the easily manipulated generation reaps the benefits and erases the past, I wouldn’t be shocked is veterans’ Day is banned. Thanksgiving, Columbus Day and others will be permanently banned eventually but Vets’ Day will be next.

I saw a car the other day with multiple bumper stickers. Only a liberal woman could think like this. Among the pro-Democrat stickers were “HATE HAS NO PLACE HERE” and “STOP BANNING ABORTIONS.” Nothing says love like killing a baby!

Unless woke companies buy season tickets, I just don’t see the average person spending hundreds of dollars for a Tuesday night NBA game in December. Even once the restrictions are fully lifted, if that ever happens.

The white male is still the average person who buys tickets. Sure women are attracted to rich, young athletic types but will they spend $400 for a seat to a game? In high numbers?

Sports needs an enema. These clowns were handed everything and yet they continue to desecrate what empowered them.

They will continue to limp along, but their ratings, attendance , revenues and profits will continue to collapse and the days of super high salaries are inevitably going to come to an end.
The fun part will be when the arrogant , entitled black players are forced to take pay cuts by hard cold reality of sharply lower revenues and profits.
The fight between the owners and the athletes over money will be the mother of all battles.

Considering the character of the people not standing for the anthem, I don’t think they should be given the privilege of hearing it. I know they would not sing along with it, but if they did, wouldn’t their mouths pollute it?

People who work for Cuban say he’s very smart but also very paranoid. In his arena outside and inside they have cameras that use facial recognition to build an electronic dossier in every person the cameras get an image of. Prior to Covid they took a facial pic of every person in the arena during every game. They also have tech that monitors and tracks every phone in the building.

Off the top of my head, I can't really think of any NBA player that I really like right now.
