The Queen of Country has been vaccinated.
“Dolly gets a dose of her own medicine,” Dolly Parton, 75, tweeted on Tuesday, alongside a photo of herself at her appointment, sporting a sparkly-blue, long-sleeve shirt with upper arm cutouts in just the right place for the coronavirus vaccine injection.
In the tweet, Parton tagged her vaccine site — Nashville, Tennessee’s Vanderbilt University Medical Center — where she calmly sits in a low-backed chair in front of a logo-covered backdrop.
“I’m finally gonna get my vaccine — I’m so excited,” Dolly told followers in an Instagram video posted from her appointment. “I’ve been waiting a while, I’m old enough to get it, and I’m smart enough to get it,” she told her fans, specifying that she received the Moderna COVID-19 shot, which she helped fund with a $1 million donation last April.
Then, “to fit the occasion,” the “9 to 5” star launched into a rendition of “Jolene” where she instead sings, “Vaccine, vaccine, vaccine, vaccine, I’m begging of you, please don’t hesitate … ’cause once you dead, then that’s a bit too late.”
“The faster everyone gets vaccinated, the faster we can return to normal,” she went on, before taking aim at those who don’t plan to — or are on the fence about — getting vaccinated.
“I just want to say to all of you cowards out there: Don’t be such a chicken squat. Get out there and get your shot.”

Got my second round of the Pfizer vaccine today. Both times a nothing burger.
I am OK with it.
Due to business trips to Asia when I was working, I have a long list of vaccines on my yellow vaccination sheet. Now I have 2 rounds of Covid, on a laminated card. Whats one more on top of 9 previous vaccines.
Not an anti-vaxxer, just not interested in something of questionable value I may not need.
My body, my choice.

However, logic and science are not in that set.
Not saying vaccine is good or bad, just sick of entertainers and politicians (neither of which are exactly on the brilliant side of science - or much else) trying to pass judgment on their betters. Yes, we all are better than politicians and entertainers.

I’m 50 so its really not necessary for me. I do have moderate underlying conditions but I will still wait to see that its safe. I wouldn’t tell her not to get an abortion so how about Dolly mind her own business where my body is concerned?
There was an article earlier today that people are getting cancer scares because the vaccine is causing swelling lymph nodes.
If you don’t get the vaccine because you are way under 75, healthy and might not need the vaccine and you are concerned with side effects like lymph nodes swelling or possible cancer down the road are you still a coward?????
