There is a huge layoff at the Huffington Post. Key writers — 47 US writers — were fired. The failing leftist blog pushed for Trump supporters to be de-platformed and de-banked. It doesn’t seem to have worked for them financially.
BuzzFeed announced layoffs for the HuffPost newsroom on Tuesday, three weeks after acquiring HuffPost from Verizon Media in February.
Hillary Frey, the executive editor, and Louise Roug, the executive editor for international, will be departing in the restructuring effort.
HuffPost Canada will also shutter operations later this month.
They say they are fast-tracking the path to profitability.

What really killed the Huffington Post was becoming a woke tabloid. Even shortening the name was a horrible marketing decision. At one point in time, the HP rivaled that of the New York Times. They were kind of a Times and The New Yorker put together.
Also, the Huff Post had a great lifestyle and food section that I'll admit I took a peek at every now and then.

When Borders Books and Music had 1,249 stores and 11,000 regular employees there was a big push to unionize. Early tries failed. Then, like HuffPo “Today, we unionized.”
Now, all the stores and jobs are long gone in history. Sad.

Lol. The HP removed the ability to post comments because they were overwhelmingly getting hammered for their liberal lies. This removed the reason to go there and their traffic has fallen off drastically. They are just one more source of the same vile homo-prop and commie-prop that infests do many other sites. Amazon as it is days are numbered because of unions. The unions will raise prices and sales taxes will climb too.
Amazon knows it too. Bezos isn’t running it now but the person who is, is a creep too.
