Film star “Rick Moranis” was trending on Twitter Sunday — after the FBI posted a photo of a different man who allegedly participated in the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, and bears some resemblance to the actor in his heyday.
“You can help the #FBI identify individuals involved in the January 6 violence at the U.S. Capitol,. Visit http://tips.fbi.gov if you recognize this person. Reference photo 268 in your tip,” the FBI tweeted Sunday afternoon alongside two photos.
Twitter users quickly noted the similarities between the helmeted, bespeckled suspect and the “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids” star — responding by the dozens with screenshots of the 1987 Star Wars spoof “Spaceballs,” in which Moranis played a glasses- and giant helmet-wearing parody of Darth Vader called “Dark Helmet.”

Maybe the guy in the bar who attacked Moranis thought he was this guy. Hoser.
Why are we still hearing about this?
The FBI has become a very bad comedy.
Twitter? I’ve been on Twitter since 2009. There is good and bad there. Right now the insane are running the Asylum in the USA.
In the Media, Alphabet Agencies, Congres, the Courts, and the White hut.
Does anyone believe that the FBI is going to prosecute any leftist that is involved in the attack on the Congressional Building? This is all political theater.
My gut tells me that the FBI knows exactly who put that “attack” together, but it will never ever be shared with the public.
Even when we get to summer of 2024....this ‘ruckus’ will still be a page one story for the NY Times, and a top ten mission for the FBI. At some point, we might even discover that four KGB agents were secretly among the riot crowd.
Nah.
More like this guy:
That’s from the old TV show “Laugh-In”.
Perhaps the FBI posted photo is a joke.
Wonder what they’re doing with their other hand.
Why are we still hearing about this?
And yet not a single congress critter was so much as scratched. Some insurrection. More like the prols were insolent enough to think the U.S. politburo actually represented them
Not him. Moranis is a lot older.
He is the key master.😁
“Wonder what they’re doing with their other hand.”
Holding a Hustler magazine.
Rick Moranis was a HUGE fan of Steely Dan and somewhere along the way connected with Donald Fagen.
This led to Moranis being in Fagen’s “Tomorrow’s Girls” video.
Good music in the Steely Dan tradition with interesting lyrics.
“Honey, I sacked the capitol with the kids.”
