A woman says she was left penniless in her bank account after a coffee run and months later she's still fighting to get her money back.
Lisa Angello says she stopped in at a Colorado Starbucks for a drink and was shocked to get a notice later from her bank warning that she was overdrawn.
The problem was that the $5.70 was actually entered twice in the charge machine, making the amount charged $5,705.70.
Angello says she assumed the problem would be an easy fix but she says the error has turned into a months-long back-and-forth between her, USAA Bank, and the coffee company.
"I am caught in the middle. No one has my back, and no one's listening, I want my money returned to me," Angello says.
She says the bank has put money back into her account as a provisional credit so she can pay her bills, but the process to actually have her money problem fixed continues.
"And it doesn't even matter whose fault it is anymore. I just want it rectified. I want it made right," Angello says.

Starbucks has been robbing you a little at a time, for a long time, lady.
Buy a cappuchino machine at Wal-mart and make your own cup of coffee for about $1.50

Yep. Going to Starbucks was her first mistake.
It's still cheaper than Starbucks.
Must have been State Department coffee. Seems about right.
Maybe if she returns the car that she bought from the employee, she can get that charge off her credit card.

For her, a better option might simply be coffee-black, rather than with sugar and cream.
Starbucks is slipping. This is an obvious cashier error.
It should have been resolved within a few working days.
This is bad customer service, plain and simple.
My conclusion: The management at that particular Starbucks is dragging his or her feet for some reason.
Spend a couple more bucks and buy a lb of coffee.
I’ve done business with USAA for over 25 years. I’ve always found they bend over backwards to do the right thing for their customers. And, it looks like is the case in this instance as well. Problem appears to be with Starbucks. They can easily solve this by retracting the charge.
I called the manager, and he said eventually the charge would fall of. I said no, he would get it off immediately.
He later called me complaining to me how long it took him. Like it was my fault?
I actually had to wait five days for it to fall off. Never went there again, even though the food was good.

Actually her first mistake was using USAA bank. I use a local Credit Union and any problems get fixed very quickly. These online institutions don’t have to worry about customers camping in the lobby.

NEVER use a Debit Card to pay for anything, period.
Only use Cash, a Credit Card or some Sucker to pay for your stuff. Leftists, Politicians and Illegal Invaders prefer having the Taxpayers pay for all their stuff.
...It looks like she may have double-entered the price herself. Even then, the matter should be quickly resolved.
To do otherwise makes Starbucks look dishonest.
Well if anyone goes to home cheapo or lowelife, they can pay a ton of money for lumber.

My goodness, the correct charge was a complete ripoff to begin with. $5.70 for a coffee? At least she noticed this time. Nothing that 3 weeks of arguing with the bank won’t solve.
