My first watch was a Timex and I loved it. It was stolen from my apartment when I was a sophomore at college back in 1971-72. I thought of going to local pawn shops looking for it because I could remember the number stamped on the back (which I figured was some sort of serial number for watches like cars had) and hoped to find it. Anyway, some thirty years later I was telling the story to my husband who has a horological hobby. I recited the number from memory, he thumbed through his watch catalog and showed me a picture of my beloved watch. I still miss it.

"Details from Apple are limited, but such vulnerabilities could be used to carry out malicious actions such as directing users to phishing sites. " No thanks, I get plenty of malicious actions directing me to Facebook, Google, Microsoft and other similar phishing sites. Bill Gates, did you cause this?

No but in 1985 he bought me my first electric watch with a note that said, “Welcome to the 20th Century.” Now I wear an Apple iwatch.

More Chinese spyware? When will they install your “social score” for your own protection? Daily messages from Xi Jinping you cannot delete.

Fixes a known and used exploit in Webkit where when processing maliciously crafted web content it may lead to universal cross site scripting. Is actively exploited. Not a joke.

Apple can’t be hacked. Apple OSes are safe because Apple is proactive about fixing vulnerabilities... like this one.

What say you, sir? Have any idea what this is about? I suspect it’s about the zero day vulnerabilities revealed at a white hat security conference last week that showed an exploit. . . But handed Apple the issue before publishing. Apple pays a bounty for such vulnerabilities so they can patch them before they can be exploited..
