So what's happening with your eggs?' This was the question Sara Murray's oldest friend asked her recently during a phone catch-up.
It's the same question she's been asking Sara ever since she decided to freeze her eggs back in 2015, aged 43. 'Normally when she asks me that, it reawakens my emotional dilemma of whether I should try to use my eggs or not,' admits Sara. 'But this time, as I sipped on my herbal tea, I felt a strange sense of peace.
'I'm turning 49 this summer, and after years of assuming I'll have children one day, I'm starting to accept this just might not happen for me.

Why didn’t they have babies when they were naturally able to do so? “Follow the science.”
Maybe she could start a cooking show.
What to do with all those ice-cube trays in my basement freezer that I... ahem repurposed... all those years ago, in my youth?
Regards,
Some related thing I’ve heard in recent years is that if you think that many women these days have very impossible and unrealistic demands of men leading to break ups, the divorce or separation rate for same sex marriages or common law arrangements among women is apparently even worse with all sorts of nasty instances.
“Repurposed”
An understatement most profound.
Lol!
“... when they were naturally able to do so...”
For some... they were waiting to find a husband. I actually know a gal who had her eggs frozen because she had two choices: have a baby out of wedlock or wait for a husband. She could have married someone that wasn’t a very nice guy but chose to wait to find a “good” one. I imagine for some... they are harvesting “young” eggs because they have put off child bearing until their career is off or something of that nature. For some... they freeze their eggs immediately at a diagnosis of breast cancer (even in the lower stages where survival is very good). The treatment makes women infertile. Lastly... I have noticed that it has become more ‘talked about” since all the Kardashians started doing it.

How many lesbian couples break up because one decides she wants a husband and kids after all?
Old hen is going to be lonely at some point in her life.
Virtually every woman has that choice. Just as virtually every man has a limited number of choices, each with its own unique set of pros and cons.
Excepting cases involving medical emergencies (like the need to undergo radiation treatments, with resultant infertility, and the like): What most people don't understand is that the very act of making a decision like that has consequences of its own (like seriously skewing your worldview).
I once dated a woman who, at one point during the proceedings (i.e., our first and - as it turns out - only date), informed me that she had an ovary "on ice."
Basket case.
Regards,
I always try to tread lightly around fertility issues. It’s incredibly painful when couples can’t conceive or go through multiple miscarriages. My wife and I were lucky, all I had to do was look at her and she was pregnant. We have 3 boys, all conceived basically as soon as we started trying each time.
My sister on the other hand, had a terrible time trying to get pregnant and was ultimately told she would never conceive due to several medical problems. She and her husband adopted a baby girl and they’re doing great.
But yeah, perfectly healthy women feeling they need to freeze their eggs is sad. But I wish them well. I can’t imagine a lonely old life without kids...
I wonder how many notches are on her bedpost.
Leftists love pretending they can control human nature. That’s why the only thing they are good at is killing lots of people.
