When I was 19, I hit some black ice in Utah during a blizzard. I rolled my car 5 times down a hill and was taken to the hospital. While I was in the emergency room, a highway patrolman gave me a ticket for speeds to fast for conditions. I was going about 15 MPH.
Did you have a passenger who talked to the cops, or were there other witnesses around who said you were going too fast?
