Alice Cooper has recalled the struggles he faced in recovering from COVID-19.
The rocker and his wife, Sheryl, were both diagnosed with the disease back in December. And though he didn’t require hospitalization, Cooper said the coronavirus was still tough to endure.
“It wiped us out,” he admitted in a conversation with AZ Central. “I lost 15 pounds. I couldn't sleep. I couldn't eat.”
The rocker admitted he “didn’t do any singing at all” during his recovery, but gradually he was able to work back into shape.
“Every day you feel two percent better. Then you get a little bit better, the next day a little bit better, until finally, you're going, 'Oh, wait a minute, I feel almost normal now,'” Cooper explained. “But it does take it out of you. I mean, it's like pneumonia. It takes a while to get your sea legs back under you."
These days, Cooper is “feeling pretty good.” The shock-rocker estimated his health is “at least 95%” of what it was before contracting the virus. Both he and Sheryl have now received their COVID-19 vaccinations, and the couple has also taken an active role in encouraging their fans to do the same.
Cooper’s most recent album, Detroit Stories, was released in February. The LP was a tribute to the Motor City, Cooper's hometown and a music scene which helped give his band's its initial break.
Meanwhile, the iconic singer is gearing up for a return to the stage, headlining his Coopstock benefit on April 24 in Mesa, Ariz. Kiss guitarist Tommy Thayer, former Foreigner singer Lou Gramm and Asia featuring John Payne are also scheduled to perform.

When some other rocker was pushing his fans to get the “vaccine”, I actually thought to myself “Not *even* if Alice commanded his minions to get it...”
Sorry Alice.
If he had covid in December why would he need to get the shot 4 months later? What am I missing here?
Just saw Alice on an episode of “Counting Cars” a few hours ago. Wanted his Study “fixed up”.
I never have understood the “thing” about alice cooper, marilyn manson, lady gaga...
I hadn’t seen any article where he was pushing it, like some others.
That sounds absolutely awful, and certainly the basis for entirely wrecking the economy as well as ending personal freedoms and the ability to travel. If it had been ten pounds I would say let it go, but fifteen ... and being quite out of it for a few weeks, that’s something that not many rockers or their fans could possibly imagine. /s
So, typical for Alice Cooper, he’s slightly less than average.
There are many other articles out there to answer that question. This was one of the first few hits in a search.

Little more info here.

He should write a book about it, call it the Covid Diet. He’ll make a fortune.
I just thought it was funny for this to come up a couple days after I thought that.
:)
One of these things is not like the others.
I’ve put on 35 pounds due to Covid...

Exactly!!!
Sounds exactly like the flu I got back in the late 70’s.
I was sick for almost a month.
He does not need the shot.
Four months later his antibody count should be very high.
For the rest of his life, his body will have memory of how to build antibodies to this virus.
But now he has jacked with his immune system so all bets are off.
There is a strident leftist group - maybe 15% - that dutifully follows the MSNBC/statist narrative. They hated the vaxx before they loved it/after the election. They're in the 100MM.
There is a vocal patriotic bunch who pride themselves on being individualists. However, they think antivaxxers are idiotic, crunchy-granola types who do home births, may be vegans, read Mothering magazine, are members of Le Leche League. Under mild torture these individualists will admit to being in favor of mandatory vaccinations. They are in the 100MM and, sadly, Alice seems to be in this group.
Then there is this odd mix of leftish crunchy granola types and gun-toting individualists who don't want the vaxx. They may disagree with each other on every other issue but they are in lockstep on vaccines.
Odd bedfellows indeed.
