Blue states losing a seat = California, New York, Michigan, Illinois, Pennsylvania.
Red states losing a seat = Ohio, West Virginia.
Blue states gaining a seat = Oregon, Colorado.

May they continue to lose many more!
Probably would’ve been more, but they had to “delay” into the next administration so they could massage the figures with illegals.
The fact that despite this, they STILL lost seats in their favorite states does not bode well for the Democrats. They’re hanging on by a thread as it is. If they don’t get HR1 or the DC statehood bills through, they’re doomed.
NYS, CA, PA only lose 1 seat apiece...
What a coinkydink.
Anyone else smelling collusion?
Note to the other states: If you have any brains, you’ll sue.
Word is that Alabama was perilously close to losing a seat... but did not (despite a 2.6-ish% rise in population). *whew*
I think it’s a pretty even mix of lefties and conservatives leaving blue states, which means basically no change in the states they’re moving to.
The main peril is in non-citizen immigration.
AWESOME..... Now if they get rid of Newsome!
CA (particularly Southern CA) has amazing weather unmatched anywhere in the US.
It has taken a lot of negative (leftist) human intervention to stop people coming there.
Leftists ruin all the good stuff.
From the one gaff on Figure 6, I think NYS is projected to lose 2 seats. That would be really nice...
I am HOPING Illinois loses ADAM KINZINGERS SEAT!!
It’s a start. Democrats will claim that liberals are infiltrating Red States, but I think the Conservatives in those states are fed up in Blue States and leaving for greener pastures.
However, my daughter and her husband followed me here a couple of years ago. They are fairly liberal, so far...
It sounds good until you realize that they lost the seats because their LIBERAL state residents moved to more solvent states. It is just as likely that this is a bad thing as they could turn these states democrat....given enough time and numbers.
I lived there for 18 years. After you get over the weather being great, it had become unbearable with the state taxes and gasoline prices (and they have oil refineries there) it became an easy choice to leave. Even moving to Illinois was a much better move financially.
Many many people are voting with their feet. Leaving.
Many many private businesses are closing. And many of the owners are Leaving.
Will the last sane person leaving CA please turn out the light.
Finding new nests to foul. There is no question the end result will be turning Texas blue.
QuoteL “Summary = Net gain of +3 seats for red states.”
Until a court steps into the fray in each state where the dems control the court and redistricts for the democrats. It is coming, like in, say, Pennsylvania. Oh wait, it already happened.
But the Mitch McConnell, Liz Cheney, Mitt Romney wing of the party will be just fine with it and declare that anyone who isn’t is a “conspiracy” theorist. But wait, there is more!!! John Roberts will be sure to endorse it by not getting involved.
I left California almost 8 years ago. My friends who still liver there tell me I got out just in time...
they will gerrymander as required to remove one of the handful of (alleged) republican seats
Nope. We have some coming here to our small town. All of them are right of center and hate what runs CA.
