When Tim Tebow retired from baseball in February after a run as a Mets minor-leaguer, it appeared to spell the end of his athletic career.
But in a stunning twist, the former Jets and Broncos quarterback is attempting an NFL comeback as a tight end, according to multiple reports.
The 33-year-old reached out to the Jacksonville Jaguars requesting an opportunity to try out as a tight end, ESPN reported. Tebow went through a workout with the team’s tight ends coach, according to NFL Network, and the Jaguars have had “at least some discussion” of signing him.

No, he doesn’t have a chance because he’s too old, has never played the position, and should have done this 10 years ago when it because obvious he wasn’t an NFL caliber quarterback.

I would think his legs are getting a little old. And his arm was just OK.
Are there are lot of bad QBs in the league? Although, I would like to see him over Cam Newton in NE. At least he can play as a team member.

HA. Yeah, funny. Brady excelled from the first time he stepped on an NFL field. Tebow is a fantastic guy, but he’s had more NFL opportunities than I care to count. He needs to move on.
Tim may no longer be fast enough to play tight end in the NFL.
It would be a great story in a life of great stories, but I don’t see it occurring.
Go back to minor league baseball, Tim.
Ride that bus from minor league stadium to minor league stadium and see America.
Sure now he’s willing to not be a QB. Nothing wrong with a running QB, but you still have to be a QB and complete passes, and probably throw more than 10 in a game.
If he really wants to play football, maybe he could go to Canada.
