I'm amazed by the recent TV commercials showing families driving their electric SUV up into the mountains for a camping trip.
Will that car have enough charge to get them home again after a weekend of camping by a mountain lakeside?

If it’s a short trip and the temperature is moderate (requiring neither A/C or heat) they might make it back. Especially if the return trip is downhill.
But the good news is there’s a diesel powered rollback towing service at the ready to help out.
