I used to convince other hams that Yagi was an acronym for “Your Antenna Gain Increases.” With the proliferation of search engines one can’t get away with such foolery anymore. - 73 de KF4MA
It is amazing as a I was talking about the sub-ether last night with a friend.
Microwave is still not understood as to why positive waves always connect to negative regardless of range.
Neat stuff.
I rather liked my two element quad, for 10, 12 and 15 meters.
Please forgive me if this is too far off topic, but what is going on with this field strength measurement/calculation the FCC suddenly wants all hams to do? I know you are not yet required to send them in, but if they did it seems to me that that would give them a good idea of who has what capabilities. One has to wonder why they would want to know that.
“If they did...” is for future reference. The government, wishing to be helpful, could use such reports as a basis for the FCC to verify your station calculations during a visit. Just make sure you don’t have any weapons, ammo, or copies of any hunting magazines or other related items visible. If you do, they probably have a SWAT team standing by for assistance.
My guess is that ham radios are being blamed for interference with wifi and smart home automation. That’s certainly an issue for 2400 Mhz and 5800 Mhz.

Yes. If they come out and want this information to be reported, it would be of grave concern. I am thinking that they would want to know who is capable of long distance communication over unregulated channels. Whatever it is, I am sure they are not worried about our health.
They never taught me and I am decent with 360 degree curves.
It just works and that is where we are.
