One of the differences between America and the rest of the world, is that our everyday dude has access to consumer goods like the royalty (or party leaders) have in other countries.

Whoa! That’s terrible. Well, the Democrats are well on the way to turning the US into a socialist (the communist) country. It’s frightening.
Yes, people never learn. How many times has socialism/communism been tried and it always fails? The desire to get something without having to work for it, and the covetous human heart keep falling for the same lies.

I personally experienced this at a small grocery store in one of the European capitals many years ago: the main feeling was, how come people in the country of my birth could not live like that...I expected the abundance of everything, to a certain degree, but the real picture was astonishing...American supermarkets caused rather negative feelings: who would need all this variety....got used to it quickly...

And I think I understand what you mean.
However, that great wealth of goods, services, and money is one of the reasons I adore the country of my birth. It isn’t due to a greed or avarice. It is because, even though my country produces unequal distribution of wealth and goods, it produces at such a high rate that even the people who aren’t getting as much as the people above them in wealth level, they get more than many people on the face of this earth.
And the best thing is, because the rising tide that floats all boats can make even poor people fat in this country, as Dinesh D’Souza puts it, those fat people can go as far up the chain as they desire if they want to work for it.
Many don’t want to work for it, and blame their lack of advancement on the very mechanism that made them fat because they don’t have the desire to work hard and get ahead. And that fills me with great anger.
Our history as Americans is jammed with stories of people who got ahead, who did better than their station in life SIMPLY BECAUSE THEY WANTED TO AND WERE WILLING TO WORK FOR IT.
In that context, my FRiend, it makes me think that the abundance we see in our grocery stores, the 70 different types of breakfast cereals, fresh fruit from Chile, meats of all varieties and all at affordable prices, well...I think of that abundance, and I do not think that is too high a price to bear for this land of opportunity of ours.
And this works everywhere it is tried.
Even in that bloodthirsty and Godless piss-hole of tyrannical Communist China, it works when they let it, even if they are only letting it work at some level to get a leg up and crush us.

The poor thing has been so brainwashed to be afraid of firearms it’s sad. She has actually been on a firing range and fired a couple of smaller guns, but the programming runs deep.

In my opinion I think centuries of British rule has done this to the Irish.
The Brits haven’t forgotten how we literally shot them out of here twice and it no doubt made an impression on them.
It’s bad enough they’ve forbidden their own people from owning firearms but obviously they would not any of their vassals and vassal states owning fire arms either.
In Russia people stand in line for bread.
In America bread stands in line for people.
