Carried over from prior thread:

I am looking forward to Lone Palm’s report later this evening. He’ll have some first-hand information for us as a result of his travels today.

I was planning to wait until evening to post a new thread when he returned but am unsure of my evening plans now. So those who check in prior to the weekend are encouraged to follow up on Lone Palm this evening. :D

Thank you for the new thread MQD.

The first day of the Georgia Republican State Convention got off to a good start. It started with a breakout session on Voting Integrity that the press was pointedly kept out of.

GA Senate bill 202 on election reform that you have probably heard maligned in the press contained about 90% of the recommendations made by the State GOP. We didn't get everything we wanted, like ending no-excuse absentee voting, but it is several big steps in the right direction. We were briefed on several UN-publicized security features that will be in effect for the 2022 mid-term and GA statewide elections.

The afternoon session largely consisted with a series of short speeches by various party officials. There were three notable moments.

The first started off with a video from David Belle Isle who is running for GA Secretary of State to replace Brad Raffensburger. This is an ABSOLUTE MUST WATCH video
The Brad Went Down to Georgia

Needless to say it brought the house down. Thunderous applause.

The second item of note was a stem-winder from our 1st district Congressman, Buddy Carter. What a gem of a Congresscritter he is. I think he will be running for the Senate to replace Rafael Warnock whose term is up in 2022.

The third speech of note was from the GA Attorney General, Chris Carr, who was nearly booed off the stage from the start. When he started talking about prosecutions the crowd started shouting, "What about voter fraud?" This continued for what remained of his talk. I hope he takes the hint and doesn't run for reelection but he probably will run anyway.

After the session ended I sought out the Credentials Committee. They were nice enough to invite me in and asked for my name, county, and reason for seeing them. I said I wanted to talk about the seating, or rather non-seating, of the delegation from Chatham County (Savannah). The Chatham County convention was suddenly adjourned without electing any county officers, district, or state convention delegates. Carl Smith, the CC chairman and District 1 chairman saw that he and his cronies were going to be voted out of office and folded up shop before it could be made official. He then caused the District convention to be canceled likely for the same reason.

Before I could launch in the Chairwoman stopped me and said that they were already painfully aware of the problem and that NO Chatham County delegates would be seated. I said that that took care of my reason for being there and thanked them profusely. I stayed and talked for a moment with two former Navy guys and one Army guy.

Our District Convention will be held NEXT Saturday. I had already been assured by David Shafer, the State GOP chairman, that the Chatham delegation would not be seated there. The State 1st vice-chairman will be chairing the convention himself and there will three other district chairman present.

More as it develops.
