The early lock downs were great at reducing the spread of Covid-19, which was on its way to disappearing.
Then BLM riots happened.
Then the massive disinformation campaign happened.
Cases are decreasing, but those influenced by the disinformation are dead set on making sure the pandemic keeps going.

Of course this story is from over a year ago, but here in California, Governor “Gruesome” Newsom has said he will not be lifting the state of emergency on June 15th as promised. No reopening, cases “surging”, people dying in the street, the whole nine yards of lockdown once again.
They have to keep this hysteria going until at least the 2022 midterms so they can have the universal mail-in ballot fraud.
Yes we should all look carefully at dates, but my personal preference is such posts should have the prefix “Flashback”, to be the most truthful and honest posting.

The most significant lie of the speaker was his use of the term “based on science”. There was and is no “science” supporting any broad economic lockdown to “flatten” the curve of a respiratory viral epidemic.
Many things to improve protection from infection could have been offered as guidance that people and businesses ought to do, without any mandate that everyone “shelter in place”.
The order was not “science” it was nuts.

The whole lockdown thing was ludicrous. When there is a pandemic serious enough to cause people to cower in their homes, people will do so without being told.

I remember when he issued this order and marveled that he had to the authority to do such a thing. (He doesn’t as far as I can see.)
I live just across the line from Dallas county and patronize businesses in both counties. I remember at that time avoiding doing business in Dallas county because of the mask mandate. Of course later the mandate became state-wide. :-(
