He may have been pointing out that there are things that are outside of the control of the mere earthlings. Or he may have been giving “scientists and experts” the benefit of doubt in this regard.
So just think, how much more wonderful life would be if we could make our days shorter by just 30 minutes.

You clearly identified a couple of primary causes of climate change and pointed out that they could do nothing to stop those changes.
