And I have a little local radio hosts I listen to which gives air time to regional politicians and issues. But too many of my local shows are also broadcast in other cities with a reluctance to discuss local issues much.

Just for the record, Steyn was floated a number to take the job and he wasn't interested; and the reason he wasn't interested is because he did not want to have his weekdays spoken for (which Rush himself directly complained about towards the end, remarking how many personal outings he had had to forego for nearly 40 years to be there 4-5 days a week, because of the live weekday committment); and Mark and Katherine were not a perfect fit; and finally, Steyn was a bit put off by Rush's weekly put-down of "Conservative Commentator Cruises", which have been Steyn's bread-and-butter since 2018.

I know that KSFO and its ugly duckling sister station KGO have been sold to a few different networks over the past few years, so I shouldn’t be too surprised. Thanks for the information.
I wanted Steyn too, but nobody asked us what we wanted.
I am pretty happy streaming Dan Bongino from noon-3pm. I dislike never-Trumper Sexton and I don’t even know the Clay guy. Less than 50-50 chance I listen out of curiosity. I don’t like Buck.
Rush Limbaugh was an honest, God loving true conservative. When I listened to him, I felt like I was listening to a friend.
I bet he and Andrew Breitbart are sitting next to God, enjoying their cigars.
The ones that probably killed him. But now, no worries!
FYI, Bret Winterble is “filling in” for Buck. Jesse Kelly starts in this slot next Monday.

I think this is a golden time for “local guys/gals” etc. to break onto the national scene. The passing of a giant has created a vacuum the like of which seldom comes.

Clay was still in his 20s in 2008 so maybe he is a late bloomer. He says Obama’s 2008 platform would be a Republican platform today. I’m not exactly buying that. But that is his excuse. He is really going to have to turn it up a notch if this show is going to be the next generation of talk radio. Some people love that they kept Rush’s intro song, bumpers and sound effects. I’m not a fan of that. Keep it in the EIB family but the show needs it’s own identity.
