I wonder if buck is in for the short term to mentor travis until he gets his radio sea legs.

One thing is painfully obvious ... Premiere had to give back the locals at least 5 minutes of commercial space every hour to get them to carry Cluck.

90 minutes into Travis/Sexton. Their “big” thing is doing a straw poll on who should be Repub 2024 presidential candidate. If you are going to a poll on your first day, obviously you aren’t prepared to talk issues. I’m gravely disappointed, especially because I expected better from Sexton.

KSFO is a Cumulus network station. The Rush Limbaugh Show was owned by Premier Radio Network.

Cumulus announced long ago that they were going with the Bongino show in the 12-3pm slot.

We're going to see the Balkanization of the 12-3 slot, with Cumulus, Salem, Premier/iHeart and indies going in different directions.

The Rush 24/7 website now finally has connected. You can get Buck and Clay as you used to get Rush.

I recall that Mark Steyn said he was not going to be on a Rush show again and had been a substitute for Rush for personal reasons. He did not elaborate but they were friends.

In 2017 CBS radio stations were bought out by what was then called Entercom—now Audacy.

Oh, so that's how it happened... thanks for that clarification.

How is the Grace Curley Show? I've never heard it. I like her, but not sure I could take 3 hours of her every day.

Hubby and I met her in person, and spent 4 hours with Grace, Howie and Taylor when we did the VIP thing a few years ago (August 2019?) at Howie's Boston-area studio. She was *extremely* nice and down to earth... and very talented!

It’s hired Tom Shattuck to do a new 10 AM to 2 PM shift, which will slot in between an extra hour of Brian Shactman’s morning show and an extra hour of Todd Feinburg’s afternoon show.

*Yawn*

And Brian Schactman is a LIBERAL. Not sure why WTIC put him into Ray Dunaway's old slot (Does anyone know if Dunaway retired?).

Tom Shattuck and Brian Shactman's voices sound nearly the same - both have highly annoying voices, and are mediocre at best.

Thanks for your continued talk radio updates, raccoonradio!

So far, so good. Familiar bumper music, the EIB Network bumper to leave to a break, same phone number.

They aren’t Rush, but also aren’t trying to be Rush either. That’s important...successors can fail by trying to imitate their predecessors and will always fall short...they can’t be someone else.

Wow, my local AM radio station, which played all of Rush's shows until the last one this past Friday, surprised me by putting Charlie Kirk in Rush's 9AM-12PM PDT spot instead of Clay and Buck.

Listening now and like what I hear.

Love Mark Steyn and he is SO talented. I think he actually would be best suited to host a nightly TV show on Fox News, Newsmax or OAN. I used to get weary of his silliness after a couple of hours when he filled in for Rush.

That being said, conservatism NEEDS the talents of Mark Steyn. And he always seems to be MIA. He spends large blocks of time in other countries, on cruises, etc. Where is he?? When will we see/hear him next?? No one knows.

Just heard a Premiere-slotted national commercial for Bounty paper towels that included a sheboon urging listeners: “Go right ahead fly your pride flag”. I’m done.
