So few hosts that I hear seem to have a “stack of stuff” to get to. Too quick to throw open the lines to all callers and too little to present/bring to attention/comment on.

“What do YOU have to say about this callers?!”

Also too many inteviews (often unfocused or hyper focused to just what their publicist wanted them to promote/discuss).

Well said. That was one of the keys to Rush's success... His famous "Stack of Stuff" that he spent hours researching and preparing for before each show. The rest of the talk radio hosts are lazy by comparison.

Listening now to the new Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show now. Surprised they opened with Rush's theme music, and they seem to be using Rush's bumper music.

I'll give them a chance, but of course NO ONE could ever replace our beloved El Rushbo.
