I stopped listening to Buck Sexton months ago.  At first, I enjoyed the funny voices and liked some of his ex-CIA insights.  But he quickly became repetitive, talking masks and restaurants and masks and restaurants and masks and restaurants and masks and restaurants and on and on.  Okay!  I got it in the first five minutes of the first day!  What else is happening in the world?

The final straw came on Sept. 18, 2020 at 7:55 pm.  Buck announced the breaking news that Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg had just died.  I waited with anticipation for 8:06 to hear his commentary and to hear what callers would say.  At 8:06 his third hour began, and Buck Sexton talked about masks and restaurants and masks and restaurants and masks and restaurants and masks and restaurants.

Either a) he really believed that rehashing "masks and restaurants" was more interesting than contemplating the Supreme Court post-Ginsburg, b) he had no thoughts on the Supreme Court post-Ginsburg, or c) he was too lazy or busy to stay live and had put in a tape of an earlier show.

Whichever it was, he showed me that he was not serious about talk radio.  If he didn't care about the audience, why should I care about him?

Wow. Hope Buck has improved since his “masks and restaurants” era.
