Audacy bought (or runs) my local AM Rush station WTIC 1080 AM in Hartford, CT. 50,000 watt WTIC made the stupid decision to go with all lousy local hosts who are mediocre at best. They're gonna crash and burn.

Fortunately I have another Rush radio station to choose from: WHYN 560, which is an iHeart Media station. They are running the EIB Travis & Sexton show.

Yes—what happened with WTIC is I believe
it was owned by CBS Radio. In 2017 CBS radio stations were bought out by what was
then called Entercom—now Audacy.

In Boston Entercom owned too many
stations so had to sell or trade some
away.WRKO 680 went to iHeart. The independent Howie Carr Radio Network
produces Grace Curley at noon and Howie
at 3. Their sister station WXKS 1200
runs national hosts so Clay and Buck
are on there.

Makes sense the iHeart station is running their own product. IHeart own Premiere which syndicated Rush and these 2 guys. WTIC had a 4.7 market share. Let’s see how local plays out going forward.
