Law enforcement officials in Tulare County California arrested this man for allegedly stealing and reselling more than 42,000 pounds of pistachios.
The Touchstone Pistachio Company ran an audit earlier this month and discovered something wasn't right. The county's ag detectives jumped into action quickly locating a tractor trailer full of the missing nuts.

A truckload is small potatoes compared to what the state wants to do this farmer. When the state takes his water it will have stolen the entire farm.

It’s serious business in the San Joaquin Valley. It was very common for crooked shipping companies to double count their trucks and make off with a trailer or two each harvest. It was especially common with machine harvested nut crops.
