There goes one of my favorite bands. I don’t think I want to support or bother with a band that supports this. I hate the politicization of everything!
According to the article, the other guys wanted them to stay. He just thought that given how outspoken he wanted to be that it would result in blowback on the music, and not be fair to the other guys.
I liked their first two albums, though I haven't heard their most recent.
