One of the best things about celebrating America’s Independence Day is spreading out a blanket under the stars and waiting for the “kabooms” that light up the night sky. Fireworks on the Fourth of July are a deep tradition in America, as small towns and big cities alike across the nation light off the celebratory explosives to commemorate the passage of the Declaration of Independence and our freedom from Britain.
Unfortunately, last year, firework displays were canceled in many places around the country due to the rapidly spreading coronavirus. Thankfully, restrictions have started to lift in most states as more and more people get vaccinated, and firework extravaganzas are returning to communities for the Fourth of July 2021!
Whether you are spending the July 4th holiday weekend at the beach, camping, or hosting a backyard cookout, there is sure to be a fireworks show near you that you can head to at sundown with your family and friends. But if you’re not sure where to see the best displays of fireworks near you, we’ve rounded up a selection of where you can watch fireworks in every state. Including some that are drive-in style to ensure social distancing! So dress up in your red, white, and blue, and add a magical light show to your plans for celebrating this Fourth of July! (Don’t forget to check the website for the specific event before heading out, though, just in case there are any last-minute changes!)

St Louis which is 80 miles from here or Branson which is over 100. I’ll pass.
They left out the fireworks celebration over Lake Coeur d’Alene? They are nuts...it’s the prettiest setting anywhere!
There are also shows over other smaller lakes nearby as well. The show over the lake near us is spectacular with the mountain backdrop and the fireworks reflecting off the lake. The lake is just filled with boats of spectators, a hundred times more boats than you’ll see on any other day.
Once again we will be venturing out to San Clemente, Ca. We have an AirBnB which overlooks the SC pier, from which that cities fireworks display is launched.
Bonus: We can also see the Dana Point display from our balcony.
The worst is right here at this desk. All summer. Had vacationers directly across shooting them off until 1:30 am last night. No, cops won’t do a thing because it is outside the city limits. Was thankful, though, they weren’t the giant professional ones that rattle the windows. Tourists come from all over to see the various richy houses’ professional extravaganzas, sigh.
