This may be the downfall of BTC. Over time, BTC is lost forever. Sometimes in big chunks. Sometimes in little. It has a fixed maximum amount of BTC.

Eventually there will be only one BTC left that the owner can get to.

Without the private keys to the wallets, the heirs got jack.

Most wallets lock out permanently after 1-n attempts to get in.
