LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - Within a day of Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s announcement of the MI Shot To Win Sweepstakes, approximately 464,698 people have applied for the chance to win $5 million, with 23,978 students having applied for the scholarship sweepstakes.
The sweepstakes began yesterday and will end on August 3, 2021.
This is an innovative way to encourage more Michiganders to get vaccinated, and I am delighted to see so much excitement for the kickoff of the MI Shot To Win Sweepstakes. We understand there are people out there who have questions, and maybe this will motivate them to seek the answers to their questions so they feel comfortable getting vaccinated.”
According to Whitmer, the goal of the sweepstakes is to increase the state’s vaccination rate by around 9%, or 667,000 Michigan residents - meeting the 70% statewide goal of residents aged 16 and up who are vaccinated.

I wouldn’t be surprised if she stays in the Governor’s mansion after Nov, 2022. I still see Trump flags everywhere kin the metro Detroit area, and all the Biden/Harris yardsigns came down, but a lot of people in this state seem to either have short memories, or are perpetually stuck on stupid.

Funny you mentioned that, because there are a lot of reports that memory loss and absent-mindedness are side-effects of the vaccine.
