President Donald Trump has scheduled a press conference for Wednesday where he will make a "major announcement" about his plans for social media, according to reports. The presser will be held at the Trump National Golf Club Bedminster in New Jersey and is planned for 11 a.m.

I hope he pushes the alternatives, to help them grow. Part of the reason why the others aren’t growing as much is because many people aren’t aware of their existence.
I’m sure he will have alternatives to offer.
But several have tried to get a foot hold already, Parler, Gab, etc. The problem is companies like Facebook and Twitter lose BILLIONS before they start to show a profit. That’s the entry fee into that business. And they way they make money is sleazy.
And, one thing I worry about is Trump has picked a lot of ineffective advisors.

He said something to the effect: "And these are very good lawyers... well I'll let you know in a year or so..." which brought a chuckle. He knows his election crew was a bunch of clowns.
Not looking for a settlement, they want a legal determination. Also says how terrible NPR and other public news outlets censor information.

I was disappointed to see the fundraising appeal. They should be able to sue for legal fees, and put their money where their mouth is.

Class action lawsuits are classically taken on by attorneys who get a massive payout if they win—with maybe some of those they file the suit for getting a few pennies or a voucher or discount or something.
