Customers who can prove they participate in a state or federal food assistance program will be exempt from the bag fee.
According to the law, the business can keep 40% of the fee’s revenue. The other 60% will go to their local municipality or county for administrative costs and waste diversion programs and outreach.

So...they want to get rid of safe, clean, single-use plastic bags and have customers drag in a disease-ridden rag from home that includes the illnesses that their pets added.
Nothing like lying through their teeth; Coronavirus bad and everyone needs to follow contamination avoidance but please bring your filthy disease-ridden carrier from home.
These people need to be charged for their crimes.
