LOS ANGELES - With local COVID-19 infection numbers surging upward, topping 1,000 new cases for the fifth straight day, Los Angeles County supervisors Tuesday lamented continued resistance to vaccines while health officials announced an outreach effort to bring shots to people's doors.
The county reported 1,103 new COVID cases on Tuesday, lifting the cumulative total from throughout the pandemic to 1,259,772. The county also reported 12 new fatalities due to the virus, increasing the death toll to 24,554.

Why would they want to do that? The governor in CA is doing everything to go back to normal so her survives recall.
Seems like the US has had so many cases that everyone’s had covid twice now.

Oddly the numbers seem to be going up everywhere and all the government can scream is “comply harder”.
Note they also aren’t breaking out the percentages of vaxxed vs non-vaxxed people who are getting it. They’ll break it out by race and ethnicity and how many ventilators are in use - but for some reason they don’t think it’s worthwhile to break out those who are “protected” from those who aren’t.
More telling is that the mayor of Orange County Florida is talking about making ALL people mask indoors to cut down infections.
Again - what’s the point of getting the vaccine if it doesn’t prevent you from getting it and it’s apparently just as deadly?

Are they including people who test positive (without any symptoms) AND have the vax shot?
At one point it sounded like the only people testing positive after vaccination who would be counted would be the ones with bad symptoms.
I remember last year when they were letting convicted prisoners out of jail so they wouldn’t catch covid.
How did that work out in the long run?

As conga-lines of infected people enter CA illegally from Mexico, compounded by tens of thousands of foreign nationals arriving at LAX around the clock.
You let thousands of illegals in, half who make a beeline for California, and what do you expect?
