Early yesterday morning, cops from the @NYPD67Pct were on a fixed post to address community concerns when they were suddenly assaulted with a glass bottle in an unprovoked attack.
The suspect, who has been arrested for assaulting officers twice in the past, was quickly caught.
The officer received lacerations to the neck and head which required stitches and staples, but thankfully will be OK.
24/7 your NYPD officers put themselves in harms way to protect this city, it's residents and it's visitors.

When bottles are outlawed, only outlaws will be slashing police officers.
Attempted murder and they apparently released him. Sigh.
There are many urban areas that are never going to get crime under control in any meaningful way. Who’s going to want to be a cop in this environment? You can be killed or maimed at any moment and if you kill someone - or someone kills themselves as George Floyd did - there’s a good chance you’re going to go to prison.
The people who would be cops in those kinds of conditions are the last people you want enforcing the laws.
You could see that coming from a mile away. The perp’s face says it all. He has that belligerent attitude. Plus he walked up to the cop with his right hand in his pocket, stood sideways and was working up to the assault.
Wanna stop this crap? The boys in blues should administer a few Speer Gold Dots to the perps.

Well sure, every time I’m attacked and receive severe injuries requiring staples and stitches in my head, I’m good to go and feel like a million! And of course there are never any complications. Just A-OK.
Not going to happen. The cops have already emboldened millions of these misfits. They’re just lucky, so far the misfits have decided not a attack them “en mass” with real weapons.
News media on behalf of the Dems have been pushing “gun violence” again and again. That woman in the mall parking structure returning jeans with her girlfriend and being punched, thrown to the cement floor, kicked, robbed and punched some more——was not a gun violence victim.
And neither was this police officer. No gun.
Dems are going to say “all this gun violence-—outlaw guns for everyone.” That’s always been the Rosie O’Donnell and Whoopie Goldberg solution. With wild applause from the studio audience.
We can’t let that take away our rights.
