(RINOs):
an abbreviated form of “Republican In Name Only,” has been made popular by former President Donald TrumpSorry, but the term had been in common usage among true conservatives, going back long before PDJT entered politics. I know that Bob Dole, J. McCain, Susan Collins, M. Romney, Bill Weld, Arlen Specter and a host of others have been called RINOs going back at least 25 years.

Sorry, but the term had been in common usage among true conservatives, going back long before PDJT entered politics. When I joined FR in 2001, I saw the term "RINO" posted quite a bit. I distinctly remember asking what it meant.

"The term, an abbreviated form of “Republican In Name Only,” has been made popular by former President Donald Trump, who evokes it to attack members of his own party who are critical of him."

True, but Trump has introduced the term to the 80% of Republican voters, and that is a huge deal.
