Personally, if you look back over the week, I have noticed that the smile is gone...no makeup, to speak if, etc. She has not been herself. I wondered if she and her man broke up or had a serious argument. While I think she is in a class by herself, the spark has been lacking all week.
As for her remarks, I think you have to understand that under pressure, one doesn’t always come out with a well thought answer. When interviewed in the past she comes across very well, not conceited, but with a lot of confidence. Whatever got to her this week has thrown her off her game. I’m sad for her, but this does happen. “Life” happens and not always when there are so few consequences. Should she have realized that she was off her game earlier and given up her spot? Maybe and maybe not. Tenaciousness causes one to go on when it looks bad, and sometimes one pulls it out in spite of the problems.

Agree. She looked beaten on Saturday/Sunday. The intensity of the coverage made me nervous.
