I just read another article about a pregnant 15 year old girl being forced to marry ONE of her abusers and it triggered a memory.
Many years ago I recall an article (with video) about a missionary or a missionary group that was working in Thailand to get girls out of brothels and prostitution and into good Christian environments.
... and it occurred to me that there should be a similar mission for these poor (Muslim ?) girls.
Anyone ?

I've read that arranged marriages are rather common among British moslems...and that those aren't usually appreciated by the girls in question.

The Thailand effort may not be the one I’m taking about, but my friend ran this effort.
He’s now on the run for cheating millions or of his donors.
Again, there may be more than one of these orgs in Thailand but his was a cautionary tale.
The most effective organizations against sexual abuse have a very low profile.
I usually hear first about these things from this organization:

There is. My son goes with a group to Thailand and their mission is support for a missionary agency that does just that. They get them to finish their education, teach them skills. Many times they have to buy the same girls back b/c when they go outside the compound and are seen by the “owner” who previously enslaved they, they kidnap them and they have to be caught again. This is a tragic, tragic thing, but VERY common ALL over the world. I think you’d be surprised at the number here int he US!

These were not muslim girls in the previous thread. They were white English girls from working class homes who were neglected by their parents, ran away or rebelled, and then were completely sold out by the so-called social care system and police.
