Back in better days, that lack of permission would have been soundly ignored.
I think the US and FDR refusing to let Americans leave the PI in the Fall of 1940 was exactly the same. FDR learned from the Pygmy and his ideas (the Pygmy’s ideas) have ridden the waves easily to this date....I just wonder when we will be seeing and saying the same things when Washington and every state’s capitals are attacked....and “suddenly” we are overrun with Chinese military.
Indeed, can’t you hear it now? A cacophony of delighted signs and yearnings are obvious because far too,too many people are riding on ChiComJoe’s band wagon. I will never ride that wagon but I find far too few people will ride alone with me.
