I’m not lacking empathy when I ask....Why in the hell would anyone have an 11 month old child there?

But, I might be able to give you some insight on the mentality of some of these folks like this journalist. And one thing that folks need to keep in mind, that no matter how many boogers the Taliban eats, or how much dirt they eat, their leadership is savvy in more ways than one. They know how to use the media and manipulate the message. They’ve had decades to perfect their craft and only got better in the last 20.

Now the Taliban is on Twitter. A former American President isn’t allowed on there, but the Taliban is.

Anywho.....

the journalist have lived in Kabul for years, right? And up until very recently, who was protecting Kabul? The US military. When rockets or mortars were launched it was the US military sending counter battery to the launch sites.

And when they weren’t out and about, with their blue helmets and plate carriers trying to get a story, they were in Kabul, nice and cozy, going to restaurants, going to parties at the various embassies and consulates, getting drunk, having a grand ol’ time.

How’d they do that? How did they live in fantasy land? Because the 82nd Airborne, 10th Mountain Div, 1st Marine Division, or any other element of Infantryman and all their support units were there to keep the peace.

None of them gave a thought to the 19yr old kid from Kansas, that was in an Infantry squad walking patrols outside the city.

I saw them all day, every day at the embassy in Baghdad. Liquor stores abound. Parties every night at this embassy or that embassy. Lying by the many pools and having a grand ol’ time.

Meanwhile, kids from the US were running missions in the middle of the night trying to find the bad guys.

No sympathy for anyone dumb enough to stay there. But I do have some sympathy for the 11 month old that was born to two idiot parents.

The Taliban has been taking that country for weeks, if you didn’t have the smarts to say, at least, let me get my wife and child out of here. Oh well.

I’ve wondered if I shouldn’t get my family out of the US. It’s looking like 1930’s Germany.

Yes! Dead the EFF on. I was in Baghdad and witnessed similar things there. Ran into that leftist bitch Amanpour there. Me and my friends were all thinking the same thing when we ran into her. . .the thought involved an IED.
