—”That statement alone would make me distance myself from that stupid publication.”
If one were to avoid all publications with stupid statements; there would be little “news” to read.
“There’s no truth in Pravda and no news in Izvestia”.
—”Definitely, a turn for the Wurst.”
So bad, it is good?
Making furniture great again!
That one plant alone produces ~800,000 vehicles per year. Apparently, that is "good" for the "environment" but sausages are not.
Liberalism is indeed a mental disorder.
“Good cars”
We had a 1980 Jetta that wasn’t bad.
Then we bought a used 2000 Jetta around 2002 for our kids to use in high school and it was the worst POS ever. Every single plastic part on it broke. It gulped about one quart of oil with every tank of gasoline. The drive train and brakes were good (except for the engine oil problem), but the rest of it was awful.
I did a lot of business in Germany in the mid 80s. The executive lunches that were brought in were wonderful. Then the fraulein’s with trays full of cigarettes, cigars, schnapps, and brandy would show up after lunch offering their goodies. The Japanese had similar arrangements for business lunches in Tokyo.
Apparently it’s excellent sausage. They sell more to the public than they serve in the factory (which is actually a city unto itself, complete with a bus line).
Volkswagen and a few other large auto manufacturers are going to be gone very soon. Some of them have HUGE debts, and are unprepared for the speed at which fuel cars are going to go away. If they are to adapt, they will have to spend money they do not have. Meanwhile they are competing against a company that has surplus cash, and has already adapted.
I’ve had it there at VW in Wolfsburg. It’s not all that. It’s akin to a hot dog in curry ketchup.
No more sausage at HQ to save the planet. Morons!
I guess we know who won WWII.
Mine was a mid-1980’s and had fuel injector problems. The car would just slow down and STOP for lack of fuel, no matter where I was.
Got stranded 3x with that piece of junk. It was a recall item - I returned it to the Dealer, took my loss and never looked back.
But Day-um! That car handled so well and was flat-out FUN to drive really fast on curvy Wisconsin hills. True ‘luxury’ at that time in my life. ;)
