I’m actually kind of shocked that knitting has turned into a “thing”. One of the aspects I like is that I am still learning ‘new’ things, as opposed to crochet where I would likely be considered very advanced. With knitting, I’m looking up things on youtube, trying different techniques (like different cast on/off techniques).”Corrections” (like missed a yarn over two rows down - yikes!!), figuring out just how the yarn is configured for various stitches so you can un-knit & then re-knit, etc. have all been huge for my knitting.
Anyway, being in a learning stage & then the result of all the learning/work is so rewarding. I’ve always liked knitted items because they are not as “chunky” as crochet (which I still do love, BTW) and knitted lace is just gorgeous, IMO.
So those are some of the reasons I’m enjoying knitting so much & maybe because it takes a bit more of my attention because when you have 156 “live” stitches vs one in crochet to attend to, it takes your mind away from all the “stuff” going on that gets the BP up & the nerves jangled.
