Maybe our goal should be to contact some local craft guilds in our areas and find some ‘competitive ribbon winners?’

Yarn shops? Fabric stores? Any other ideas for finding Fair entrants?

I’ll have to think about that.

I will say that this is the reason my friend is after me (a LOT) to enter stuff in at least the county fair - trying to get “entries” up. Next year, I will definitely have some items .... can’t wait to enter the hairpin lace/crochet scarf ... I don’t think there will be anything like it :-) I don’t care about the ribbons ... perhaps someone will see the scarf & think “I want to do something like that”. Ribbons are a nice surprise ... icing on a cake. I used to feel the same way when I was showing horses ... the goal was to always “do better” than the class/show before and the ribbons were “extra” ... and funny how that works ... in the classes where I was most proud of my horse(s), we DID win ribbons! :-)

Our county fair is strictly a youth fair. We have club kids volunteer for security detail and a skinny rope keeps people from walking into the club booths. Exhibits were down this year, lots of clubs could not have many meetings. But still some very nice projects.
