As the 20th anniversary of 9/11 approaches, President Biden's shameful Afghanistan disaster has made America look weak, spineless, cowardly, and disloyal – it should cost him his presidency
Daily Mail ^ | Sept. 6, 2021 | Piers Morgan

This Saturday is the 20th anniversary of 9/11, one of the darkest days in American history.

To mark the occasion, President Biden will travel to Ground Zero in New York where the Twin Towers were destroyed, to Virginia where a plane was flown into the Pentagon, and to a field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania where Flight United 93 also crashed after an on-air battle between terrorists and hero passengers.

This would be a sombre enough experience for any American President given that nearly 3,000 people were killed on that infamous day back in 2001 which represented a terrible failure of US intelligence.

But now it will also be a moment of bitter shame and humiliation too, thanks to Biden's appalling mishandling of the US withdrawal from Afghanistan and abject surrender to the very people who helped commit the attacks by harbouring the terrorists who carried them out.

Today, the Taliban declared total victory in the 20-year war that ensued after America invaded Afghanistan to avenge the 9/11 atrocity, claiming they had seized control of Afghanistan's Panjshir province, the last of 34 provinces to hold out against them.

America's defeat to just 75,000 murderous medieval thugs is thus complete.

And the full scale of that defeat is only slowly becoming depressingly clear.

The appalling scenes in the immediate aftermath of the withdrawal were horrendous enough, notably the suicide bomber attack on Kabul airport that killed 13 US troops and several hundred desperate Afghan people including scores of women and children.

But to rub salt in the corpses, blood and wounds, gleeful Taliban fighters have been marching around taunting America by posing in US military clothes and equipment, holding mock funerals for American, British, French and NATO forces, hunting down and killing anyone who supported the US or its allies...

There is shock and outrage all over the world. In France, Britain, Poland, and even the Middle East. American media are silent.

Remember this is the guy who “won” with more votes than any president in American history.

Hardly someone any rational person would regard as President. I doubt history will be any more forgiving.

He should not be President, it’s only because of massive fraud and the complicity of Republicans that he is there.

And because of this, China will invade Afghanistan and take their minerals, and also invade Taiwan and corner the market on chips and microprocessors. We have shown the world that despite having the most sophisticated weapons system on the planet, we are pathetic and weak. No will to fight.

I would not be surprised if the Taliban held a parade on Saturday in Kabul with a mock-up of the twin towers.

“...it should cost him his presidency...”

YESTERDAY!!

Time’s a-wasting, folks. Thee should be a mob forming up and marching down Pennsylvania Avenue right now.

Pitch forks and torches, while dramatic, are optional at this point.

This is Oliver Cromwell’s Interregnum, when England became a proto-fascist republic for a short period. Nobody ended up much liking that episode in history.

I pray for us here and the Americans trapped there. I hear stories of busses of Americans being held over there. Are they setting up for a 9/11 slaughter of our citizens here and there. The border has been open for months and biden freaking flew 100k plus strangers here.

***But it won’t. Republicans are too spineless themselves. In fact, that’s a great description of the current GOP: weak, spineless, cowardly, and disloyal .

The appalling scenes in the immediate aftermath of the withdrawal...are yet to be seen.

It’s going to get worse...much worse.

Hardly someone any rational person would regard as President. I doubt history will be any more forgiving.

Depends entirely on who is writing the history books. If the type of people writing the history books years from now are cut from the same mold as the people writing the history books today, Biden will be treated as a revered American hero. At the same time, Reagan and Trump will be portrayed as evil leaders reminiscent of Genghis Kahn.

A mere protest of not enough people was termed an insurrection and it seems that some of the protesters are still in solitary confinement eight months later.

The rest of us sit here helpless or thinking we are.

A civil war may well happen, but only after the collapse. We need extremely hard times and a breakdown of society before any repairs can occur. People just aren’t tough anymore, brave anymore, in the numbers needed.

So the numbers will have to come down hard.

I agree but I cannot muster too much sympathy for our European allies; this is what they wanted. They wanted Trump out and bite me in. Let that be a lesson to them “Be careful what you wish for; you just might get it.”

Piers Morgan Should be laughed at for thinking he could claim any legitimacy in writing a rational fact based piece. He owes his whole carrier to being a sworn RAT hack.

The only thing worse than listening to Biden speak on a 9/11 anniversary would be listening to George W. Bush speak.

I get that W rallied the nation in the days after the attack. But then he wasted so much blood and treasure on idiotic side ventures. And so we are worse off today than we were back then. Others might disagree, but I find that unforgivable.

Legislators should be on notice that if they don’t get behind the demand to remove Biden from office, they shouldn’t bother to run for office ever again.
And it matters not that the demand is going to be ignored by the Democrats holding the reins in Congress.
Just make your voices heard, loud and constant. Don’t make it easy for them with your silence.
