German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier on Friday praised immigrants for their contribution to society, and for helping Germany become more open and diverse.

Speaking at an event marking the 60th anniversary of the German-Turkish recruitment agreement, Steinmeier praised the families of Turkish immigrants and called them an important part of Germany.

A Germany without guest workers, their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren would be “simply unimaginable today,” Steinmeier said at the event.

Germany began recruiting workers from abroad to in industries such as agriculture, construction, steel, automotive and mining in the 1950s. […]

The President said he is shocked when people with a different skin color, language or religion became targets of hatred. Xenophobia must “never be tolerated in Germany,” he said.

Muslims belong to Germany just as much as secular immigrants, the German president stressed. “If we say ‘you are at home here,’ then faith, in all its diversity, must also have a home here.” …

You only imported people because you lost millions of young men to war, slaughtered millions of jews and other groups, and lost millions of civilians in WWII.

Germany is a country with no future. Moslems will control Germany before this century is over.

The opening to Rammstein’s video for the song “Deutschland” shows just how friendly and welcoming to strangers the Germanian tribes were. There’s a few really good reasons the Romans didn’t conquer Germania, and the friendliness of the inhabitants most assuredly is not one of them.

Muslims belong to Germany just as much as secular immigrants, the German president stressed.

Ironically Hitler wished Germany was Muslim, instead of Christian, he felt it was a better religion for soldiers.

When I was stationed in Germany, the Turks were creepy. Most imported people really never assimilate.

truth as a generality — and there’s nothing wrong with that.

I’ll never understand the mindset of those that seek power to ultimately disrupt the natural balance of migration. It makes no sense.

that is...

most are comfortable in likeness — and that’s cool.

but many are indifferent (or welcome) varying traits — and that’s preferred given mutual respect.

Greece took a nasty hit with the North African migrants. The citizens were forced to house the incoming migrants. The horror stories were hardly reported.

Ironically, Qaddafi was the gatekeeper that mitigated the flow. But Qaddafi was eventually terminated. The SoS at the time reported a first-hand accounting of the execution.

“‘Germany is a country with a migrant background,’ says President Steinmeier”

It’s true. Germans have been known to migrate into Poland, Czechoslovakia, France, Austria, Italy, Greece, Libya, Tunisia, Crete, Norway, even Russia and sometimes all in the same decade.

Europe gets to pay for the destruction of Libya. The painful truth:

LEGACY OF DESTRUCTION. SOURCE

Compounding the crime visited on Libya by NATO in 2011 is the fact that in 2010 the North African country was adjudged to be in the category of high development under the auspices of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP). This categorization translated to an average life expectancy of 74.5 years, a literacy rate of 88.4%, and various other favorable social indicators.

Compare this to the situation that obtained in the country at the end of 2016, five years on from Gaddafi's overthrow and murder, outlined in a report produced by Human Rights Watch. To wit: "The United Nations-backed, internationally recognized Government of National Accord (GNA) struggled in 2016 to assert itself in the capital Tripoli, as two authorities-one also based in Tripoli and another in eastern Libya-continued to compete for legitimacy and control over resources and infrastructure."

Fleeing Libya.

I’m an American of deep Germanic blood on both sides of the family. My first wife was born and raised in Istanbul. And I agree with you. All our marriage did was for me to enable that evil little Muslim bitch. I think she was a closet lesbian, actually.
